Abstract

At present it is well known that one or more traction overloads slow down of the propagation speed of cracks. However, the influence of compression overloads applied before or after traction overloads has been studied very litte. This is the subject of this experimental work which produces a model for the propagation speed of fatigue cracks in regions affected by the overload. (P.Iannone)
