Abstract

To completely evaluate alternative solutions to the problems caused by pollution on power systems it is necessary to place these solutions in a proper economic reference frame. A comprehensive model has been developed to provide a means to ascertain the economic impact of pollution and the cost of some alternative solutions. Four separate areas of Mexico City which utilize a 23 kv distribution system have been used utilize a 23 kv distribution system have been used as test cases for verification of the proposed model. The results obtained are presented.
