Abstract
A mathematical procedure for approximating the intermodulation (IM) performance of nonlinear amplifiers, which exclude the necessity of complex curve-fitting routines or transformations, is described. The IM-product estimation involves the modelling of the nonlinear amplitude characteristics of the amplifiers using the Bessel series such that the corresponding instantaneous characteristics would be a Fourier series with the same coefficients as the Bessel series.
