Abstract
A methodology based on Shannon's information theory is applied to test the status of the existing network. The discrete multivariate entropy concept is used for the analytical purposes. Daily meteorological observations from 1970-78 are used and processed. The regionalization concept is introduced to evaluate the point as well as area entropies on the basis of the identified variables in each region. Entropy evaluation is carried out for the study area.-from Authors
