Abstract

A brief overview of 14^th Annual Saudi-Japan Symposium on Catalysts in Petroleum Refining & Petrochemicals, held at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia from December 5-6, 2004 is presented. More than 95 scientists, engineers, catalyst experts, and researchers participated in the symposium. Latest advances in hydrogen and syngas production for clean fuels, hydrocracking, fluid catalytic cracking (FCC), dehydrogenation were discussed. Synthesis and catalytic evaluation of mesoporous molecular sieve supported hydrocracking catalysts was also discussed.
