Abstract

A 200:1 scale model of a barkhan dune was tested in a low speed wind tunnel in which an artificial atmospheric boundary layer was created by the use of nonuniform grid and surface roughness. Flow field measurements are presented in the form of mean stream-wise velocity and dune surface pressure distributions. (from authors' abstract)
