Abstract
The present study aims to focus on Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) based on a model of a wind turbine system. The three types of controllers that optimize the power output produced by wind turbines are discussed in this study. The simulation and analysis were done by using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. The study evaluated the step response of wind turbines and the results of different controllers were compared based on different metrics. A nonlinear controller Sliding Mode Controller SMC was implemented, and the response of the system was studied. The results depicted the excellent capability of the system to track reference input.
