Abstract
The problems related to planning and scheduling of maintenance is discussed. Two relevant mathematical programming approaches and their utility in formulating and obtaining an implementable solution to this problem is presented. The expansion of the state-of-the-art maintenance management information system is expected to have effective control on maintenance scheduling problem. Alongwith this focusing on the maintenance planning and scheduling issues are required to be considered.
