Abstract

Japan's Yubarishinko coal was hydrogenated with an Adkins catalyst, and the product was extracted with hexane. The oil was separated into neutral, acidic and basic oil. Both acidic and basic oil were analyzed by combined high resolution mass spectrometry and low-voltage low-resolution mass spectrometry. Basic components of each of the investigated oils were determined.
