Abstract
Transport of magnetization in various magnetic systems has received considerable attention both theoretically and experimentally. A spatially varying magnetic field gives rise to a current of magnetic dipoles, similar to the transport of electric charge driven by an electric gradient. This paper considers insulating magnets described by a spin Hamiltonian, where magnetization can be transported by excitations such as magnons and spinons without transport of charge.
