Abstract

Low temperature specific heat studies were carried out on polycrystalline pellets of [Cu(dach)2]Cl2. Surprizingly the lattice contribution is approximately 50% lower than for a similar complex with Br2 in place of Cl2. The Cex also shows a broad rather than a sharp maximum previously observed for [Cu(dach)2]Br2.
