Abstract
An investigation of wave propagation on two infinitely long and concentric loop arrays has recently revealed that the array possesses two distinct passbands, corresponding respectively to the resonance of the outer and the inner sub-arrays. The passbands are separated by a stop band and the bandwidth of the second passband is found to be generally much smaller than that of the first passband. In practice, it may be desirable to operate the array with similar bandwidths in both passbands. Also, it is desirable to find a method of excitation, so that the array can operate efficiently in both passbands.
