Abstract

Salem A.B.S.H., 1993. Liquid-liquid equilibria for the systems triethylene glycol-toluene-heptane, propylene carbonate-toluene-heptane and propylene carbonate-o-xylene-heptane. Fluid Phase Equilibria 86: 351-361. Liquid-liquid equilibrium data for the systems triethylene glycol-toluene-heptane, propylene carbonate-toluene-heptane and propylene carbonate-o-xylene-heptane were determined at 25°C. Solvent capacity and selectivity at 25°C were calculated. The propylene carbonate capacity towards aromatics was found to be two to three times higher than that of triethylene glycol but the latter is about two times more selective towards aromatics than paraffins at the same temperature.
