Abstract

The IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) 2017, held in New Orleans from March 5-9, 2017, highlighted some of the significant developments in this area. This beautiful and historic city welcomed ICASSP attendees and the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) with open arms and rich culture. ICASSP 2017 drew 2,231 attendees from about 50 countries. One of the main highlights of the technical program was four keynote lectures by prominent researchers and leaders from industry and academia. These keynotes were carefully selected because of their vision, and they met the high expectations of the participants and visitors.
