Abstract

Highlights Ti-9Mn alloy was characterized by sharp increase in current density when potential exceeds 1.5 VSCE. Presence of Mn in the alloy decreased film growth rate, and lower charge-transfer resistance. The β phase, enriched in Mn, was preferentially oxidized.
