Abstract

Common amplification of one weak sinusoid and a strong sinusoid in a memoryless non-linear bandpass amplifier will result in the little-known effect of inverse in gain when both amplitudes are varying together, keeping their ratio constant. A simple mathematical approach for analyzing this effect is presented.
