Abstract
This research reviews Data Distribution Service (DDS) in Smart Traffic Systems, summarizing 37 articles. It found that DDS outperforms Message Queuing Telemetry Transport and Constrained Application Protocol in real-time, but quality of service tuning and security needs improvement. However, further research towards enhancing urban traffic management with DDS is recommended.
