Abstract

This work presents a dual-band 4-element multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna design for 5G application, which operates at sub-6 GHz and millimeter-waves. The sub-6 GHz MIMO antennas consists of wideband monopoles that covers the 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz bands, while the mm-wave antenna is a planar connected array with slots acting as radiators covering the 28GHz band (27-29GHz). The proposed antenna system is designed on a RO4003 substrate with a thickness of 0.81 mm. The overall size of the antenna is 100×100 mm2.
