Abstract

The future energy system will rely heavily on renewable energy. Renewable energy resources generated from organic solid wastes have gained a lot of interest across the world, owing to the large quantity of energy contained in these wastes. A waste to energy grate gasification power plant also contributes significantly to the recycling aim. The major objective of this research is to demonstrate the potential of WTE technologies such as and Wind, which are optimized based on total installation capacity and carbon credit cost. A 39.95-MW Solid-Waste Power Plant (SWPP) is considered to be viable to build in Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) in Bangladesh and Wind potentials have been calculated using NASA surface meteorology data. The paper also includes a technology and cost analysis of such a power plant.
