Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of aqua aerobic and floor aerobic on selected motor fitness variables among young University players. The selected subjects (N=60) were randomly divided into three groups equally of which experimental Group - I underwent aqua aerobic, group - II underwent floor aerobics and group - III acted as Control Group. The participants selected for this study were in the age group of 18-24 years. The subjects divided into three groups. Each group consisting of twenty each, namely, experimental group I, experimental group II and control group III. The following motor fitness variables selected as dependent variables cardiovascular endurance, muscular Strength and muscular endurance and the following variables selected as independent variables aqua aerobics and floor aerobics. The data collected on selected criterion variables subjected to statistical analyses using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) to find out the significant difference between the groups on the selected variables. This is conclude that the Aqua and Floor aerobic exercises, significantly improved the selected fitness variables i.e. cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and muscular endurance of the participants.Minerals, Saudi Arabia.
