Abstract
Africa is undergoing an entrepreneurial renaissance, yet systemic exclusion continues to hinder participation by women, refugees, and other marginalised groups. Inclusive Entrepreneurship in Africa explores how diversity, equity, and inclusion intersect with entrepreneurial processes across the continent and the Global South. The book examines the lived experiences of underrepresented entrepreneurs, the strategic impact of gender diversity in teams, and the role of inclusive design in innovation. Drawing on a contextualised and multidimensional approach, it highlights how inclusive ecosystems can unlock untapped talent and drive progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Each section critically analyses barriers such as discriminatory policies, cultural norms, and weak institutions while offering actionable insights for empowering entrepreneurs. This volume serves as a call to rethink entrepreneurship as a vehicle for equitable development and social transformation, urging scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to reimagine success beyond economic performance alone.
