Abstract
The dynamic performance of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) cannot be guaranteed by applying the control strategy of conventional and fast non-singular terminal sliding mode control. A continuous faster terminal sliding mode control is proposed to reduce chattering effectively and increase the system robustness. The proposed control technique has capability to ensure the fast error convergence and get high tracking accuracy under parameter uncertainties and load disturbances, which is applied in the speed loop so as to increase its dynamic response. The stability of the proposed control strategy is verified by Lyapunov function and full simulation.
