Abstract

Through-the-wall radar imaging (TWRI) is usually associated with the use of ultra wideband (UWB) signals to allow for wall penetration and high resolution. It is difficult to keep the antenna pattern fixed at all frequencies. Due to the large bandwidth and associated big data, compressive sensing (CS) is used for TWRI. We propose to embed the directivity of the antenna in the designed sparsity dictionary. The results show improved image reconstruction.
