H norm approximation by identification techniques

Abstract

In this paper some new techniques for H norm system approximation problem are introduced. The methods are based on converting the problem of H norm approximation into a series of weighted least squares identification problems. The techniques do not require any state-space computations and can be applied to very high order systems easily.
