Abstract
The novel FCC process, High Severity FCC (HS-FCC), was studied using a small-scale FCC pilot plant with a down-flow reactor. The effect of ZSM-5 additive on product yield structure under high severity operation conditions was determined using various types of base catalysts. The addition of ZSM-5 significantly increased the olefin yields, particularly propylene. Light olefins yield decreased with increasing base catalysts activity. Under the reaction conditions and catalysts system tested, the maximum light olefins and propylene yield were 42 and 21 mass %, respectively, which were obtained with 25 mass % of additive content.
