Abstract
The possible effects of saturation history in enhanced oil recovery through water and polymer flooding are illustrated and scenarios under which the flow history might have a drastic impact on the flow and efficiency prediction are presented. Favorable recoveries can be achieved via adjustment of the preinjection conditions of reservoirs.
