Abstract

A discussion on the detailed design issues of the demonstration plant dedicated to the high severity FCC (HS-FCC) process that will be constructed at Ras Tanura Refinery in 2002 covers the reactor and regenerator section, consisting of three vessels (reactor, regenerator, and stripper vessels); HS-FCC process simulation; HS-FCC demonstration plant start-up operation manual; HS-FCC yield performance vs. other processes; HS-FCC economics; vapor products, including LPG, gasoline, propylene, and butylenes; and LCO and heavy cycle oil products.
