Abstract

The expressions for the amplitudes of the output harmonics and intermodulation products of the Darlington composite bipolar junction transistor excited by a multisinusoidal input voltage were presented. A closed-form expression for the output-current/input voltage relationship of the transistor was obtained. The results obtained using Bessels functions and approximation theory showed that the harmonics and intermodulation products attained a minimum value for certain value of the load resistance.
