Abstract

In this paper a simple mathematical model is presented for the inherent resistive nonlinearity of a Josephson junction. By incorporating this model in the RSJ model of the Josephson junction, series expressions are obtained for the harmonic and intermodulation performance of Josephson junctions irradiated by multisinusoidal signals. Special cases are considered where the series expressions can be reduced to simple analytical expressions.
