Abstract

A high level (behavioral) model for the frequency-dependent input-output nonlinearity of active filter is proposed. It consists of a frequency-independent nonlinearity, a prefilter and a postfilter. The parameters of the model can be easily calculated using simple measurements and curve-fitting procedures. Using this model closed-form expressions can be obtained for the harmonic and intermodulation performance of active filters. Experimental results are presented to corroborate the model.
