Abstract

The authors give an overview of the fuzzy set theoretic approach to computer vision. They discuss the applications of fuzzy set theory in computer vision in the areas of image modeling, preprocessing, segmentation, boundary detection, object/region recognition, and rule-based scene interpretation.
