Abstract

A coupled experimental and analytical research has been in operation since May, 1975 at the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle (UICC) dealing with heat transfer from immersed boiler tubes in a fluidized bed of solid particles having different physical and thermal properties. The important investigations undertaken so far are briefly described.
