Abstract
A simple specific flow injection spectrophotometric method for the determination of trimeprazine tartrate is described. In the method, 123 μl of the drug is injected on line with 0.00122 M cerium(IV) carrier stream already prepared in 0.75 M sulfuric acid. The oxidized species of the drug is monitored spectrophotometrically at 510 nm. Peak height is recorded and unknown concentrations are calculated by using the appropriate calibration curves. The method compares favorably with the USP monograph.
