Abstract
The flexural behavior of ferrocement sandwich panels has been studied. The parameters considered in the experimental investigation were the number of wire mesh layers, the skeletal steel, the web mesh reinforcement and the number of webs. Ultimate moment capacities were computed analytically using conventional reinforced concrete theory. The analytical results are compared with the experimental results by tests on 12 sandwich panels. Cracking behavior and failure patterns for all panels were also obtained and compared.
