Abstract

Fine chemicals form an important part of different chemical industries. In this chapter we have discussed the synthesis of fine chemicals with the help of Metal– Organic Frameworks (MOFs) as catalysts. We have selected some of the most common reactions, such as oxidation, cycloaddition, esterification, and C–C bond formation, used in the synthesis of fine chemicals and reviewed how their yield, selectivity, and catalyst reusability are affected by MOFs and MOF composites as heterogeneous catalysts.
