Abstract

A study of facility documentation has been conducted to identify and plan the implementation and fielding of information technologies to assist in facility operations. The study led to a characterization of `operations documents' that are distinct from as-built drawings, record drawings or other facility documents. The research has produced an improved understanding of the emerging information technologies that may contribute to new forms of facility documentation. Software prototypes are described to demonstrate how intranet technologies can be used to support facility operations.
