Abstract

The paper describes the behaviour of mixed metal oxide activated titanium net for cathodic protection of reinforcing steel in chloride contaminated concrete, the change of the concrete pH around the anode surface at various values of anodic current density, and the behaviour as reference electrodes of a series of materials. A polymeric membrane probe is proposed as a 'salt bridge" to minimize the ohmic drop errors in the measurements of the rebar potential with external reference electrodes. (A)
