Abstract
Because of constraints with outdoor exposure and accelerated weathering, this work was undertaken to obtain some fundamental understanding of which coating parameters are most important in protecting aluminium substrates from corrosion. It is of course obvious that in order for corrosion to occur, water must first come into contact with the metal surface. Therefore, this study concerns itself with the penetration of coatings by electrolyte.
