Abstract
This article describes the development of an evaluation and selection model for floor finishing materials that incorporates both qualitative and quantitative analysis. A field survey provided the data for a sample 58-floor residential housing structure's finishing materials. Material life cycle costing and the determination of performance requirement criteria weights for each of the building's function spaces were also included.
