Breno Nunes is a lecturer in Operations Management at Aston Business School, Aston University, UK, where he teaches International Operations, Project Management and Sustainability courses. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Production Engineering from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). He has been awarded a PhD degree in Management from Aston Business School. His PhD research project, which was focused on green operations management, received the award ‘The Best Research Project of the Year’ by International Association for Management of Tech-nology (IAMOT) in 2012. His main research interests include sustainability, technology and operations management and strategic decision-making. He has been principal investigator in projects funded by the Brazilian Government (CAPES/CNpQ), Alban (the European Union Programme of High Level Scholarships for Latin America) and research assistant in a project funded by the British Council. His research projects investigated a number of world-class organisations operating in several countries such as USA, Brazil, UK, Germany, Sweden and Thailand.
