Abstract

The crystallization behavior of high molecular weight deuterated polypropylene has been studied using hot stage optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. It is found that the equilibrium melting point is 8.3‒8.9 °C below that of polypropylene, correlating well with a theoretical estimate of 8.7 °C.
