Abstract

Our paper presents the control of the active and reactive power of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) interfaced with the conventional grid. The parameters of DFIG are controlled by Adaptive Proportional Integral (API) controller. While the parameter of the adaptive controller is updated with a Mamdani-Fuzzy controller. API is designed to track the desired value of active and reactive power during a normal condition and minimize power oscillation during the grid disturbances. The use of API approves the availability of good quality of electric power. The adaptive nature of the proposed controller helps to mitigate the oscillation produced during and after the occurrence of the voltage dip. The result of API and conventional PI is compared critically. The simulation of DFIG is carried out in Simulink/MATLAB.
