Abstract

The researchers today are in dire need to develop renewable, natural, and green approaches for the goodness of mankind and bringing revolution in different fields. This quest has paved the way toward the exploitation of naturally and abundantly present compounds on the earth’s surface. One such naturally occurring entity is the cellulose. The cellulose fibers due to their nontoxic, renewable, and biodegradable nature are greatly being used in various fields. One of the most convenient and advanced method to develop cellulose-based nanofibers and nanocomposites is the electrospinning technique. The electrospinning offers advantages over other techniques due to its efficiency, simplicity, and guarantee to provide nanoscale fibers rather than bigger ones. The electrospun cellulose composite nanofibers have been a part of many beneficial aspects in various fields like environmental remediation, biomedicine, catalysis, etc. This chapter covers the intricate details about the electrospun cellulose composite nanofibers and their applications in different fields.
