Abstract
Effect of glauconite on the elastic properties, porosity and permeability of reservoir rocks was analyzed. At fixed porosity, the presence of glauconite reduced the permeability, velocity and P-impedance in quartz-sand-stones. At the same porosity, glauconitic sandstones showed lower velocity and P-impedance, than all other lithologies. The results showed that additional presence of carbonates increased velocity and P-impedance.
