Abstract

Predicting the advance of a gas-water contact in a water drive-gas reservoir plays an important role in the evaluation, forecasting, and analyzing the reservoir performance. This study was conducted to predict the behavior and the rise of the gas-water contact assuming it remains horizontal, and to determine its effect on ultimate gas recovery. Several factors are recognized to control the rise of the gas-water contact.
