Abstract
A room-temperature-cured, single-component superhydrophobic coating was developed using moisture-cured silicone resin and silicon oxide nanoparticles. The spray-applied coating dries within 1 h at 15 °C and 60 % RH, achieving a contact angle of 167° and roll angle of 1.5°, with hardness reaching 4H and adhesion of 4B after 4 h. It maintains a contact angle of ∼ 150° after eight water impact cycles and exhibits comparable durability. Adding carbon black enables photothermal anti-icing properties.
