Abstract

Describes techniques of analysis of surface wind data in terms of aeolian sand drift and their application to present-day wind systems in Mauritania. Inactive longitudinal dunes are used to reconstruct ancient wind regimes from earlier dry glacial periods. -Keith Clayton
