Abstract
High-frequency components for MIMO applications require minimal mutual coupling effect to maintain stable performance. A compact dual-element PIFA MIMO antenna operates at a super high frequency (15 GHz) is investigated. The fabricated antenna with dimensions of 20 mm × 26 mm × 1 mm produces an isolation of more than 26 dB and gain of 6 dB. Hence, it has a potential to be implemented in MIMO 5G environment without external mechanical or tuning devices.
