Does Green Tea Have any Effect on Human Body? - A Signal Processing Based Study

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

This paper studies the effects of green tea on human body by observing the changes in physiological factors such as-pulse arrival time (PAT) and Pulse-wave velocity (PWV). Participants were recruited to three measurement sessions, one arranged before and other two arranged after the consumption of green tea. Physiological signals such as Electrocardiogram (ECG) and a Photoplethysmogram (PPG) have been acquired from subjects through experimental setup in each session. Signals were then preprocessed before various features were extracted for the calculation of PAT and PWV. Statistical measures such paired t-score and p value were done for hypothesis testing.
