Abstract

In this paper we solve the Discrete-time one-block H Optimization Problem using a simple straightforward approach introduced in the Ph.D. thesis of the first author in the context of the Continuoustime Hoo Optimization Problem. A new generalized state-space representation for Discrete-time Systems is introduced permitting a general direct solution with no restriction on the problem formulation. Complete characterizations of all solutions to both the Suboptimal and Optimal one-block problems are developed.
